Call for donations Lesbos/Moria

FIGHT FORTRESS EUROPE! NO BORDER, NO NATION! – FOR THE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT FOR EVERYBODY AND EVERYWHERE

The Moria refugee camp burned down. Over 13,000 people have been left behind defenceless. This catastrophe is the result of years of the cruel maintenance of Fortress Europe. We demand the immediate evacuation of all camps and freedom of movement for all!

We are collecting donations for three local organisations that we know and/or work with. These are three NGOs that both before the fire and now support the people and not the system. Their principles correspond to the principles of the Autonomous School.

The ASZ is also making a contribution. The most urgently needed items at the moment are masks, hand sanitiser and underwear for women and children. Someone from ASZ has travelled to Lesbos and is bringing as much as possible directly to the island. The rest of the money donated by the ASZ will be distributed among the three NGOs.

If you can, make a contribution and share this appeal!
Donate to the Autonomous School Zürich. The contributions are divided by three and passed on in full to the three organisations.

The three organisations are:

Lesvos LGBTIQ+ Refugee Solidarity:
Lesvos LGBTIQ+ Refugee Solidarity is a group of LGBTIQ+ refugees and activists in solidarity with LGBTIQ+ refugees on Lesvos island.
Lesvos has never been a safe place for LGBTIQ+ refugees. It has always been hell. The fire has only made things worse. The conditions are chaotic, many of our members are on the streets and have lost all their belongings. As a community we are trying to help each other as much as we can. If you can and want to help from the outside, please support us with a donation.

Lesvos Solidarity – Pikpa:
Pikpa is an open refugee camp in Mytilene, Lesvos. It is a self-organised, autonomous space run by volunteers and is built on the principle of solidarity. Pikpa camp started back in 2012 and is now a growing and evolving camp in response to the dynamic nature of the refugee situation in the island of Lesvos.

NO BORDER KITCHEN LESBOS:
We are a non-hierarchical/horizontal self-organized group of cooking activists from all over the world
that share the aim of supporting people on their journey to Europe.
Despite the odds stacked against us, we will fight and support as best we can for a world without borders.

You can find more information about the organisations on Facebook/websites.

IN SOLIDARITY,
