After an initially nomadic existence with stops at ten different locations, the school was at home in a squatted barrack at the Güterbahnhof until the beginning of May 2013. However, this will now have to make way for the construction of the Police and Justice Center (PJZ). The ASZ/BfA courses are currently being held at Badenerstrasse 565. However, this solution is only secured until the end of August 2014.

The ASZ has been a self-organized educational project since 2009. As a collective of migrants, sans-papiers, asylum seekers and locals, we have built up a school together over the last few years. Free German courses make up a large part of the project. In addition, countless projects have taken place in recent years, such as our own newspaper, plays, caricature courses, exhibitions, readings, concerts, etc. The ASZ is a political place where it is not that one group of people helps another, but where everyone is an active and critical subject.
